the perfect beach trip sweater........

i was born in los angeles and spent high school and the year after in orange county....now more commonly referred to as THE OC.
therefore, most weekends are spent at the beach. mornings turned to afternoon and afternoon turned to evenings with portable radio's and bonfires and red plastic cups. so a beach sweater was always a must. usually for me it was a v-neck pullover.
many girls chose the poncho which is always good but too me i always thought a fire hazard near the fire pit.
so, this is my hybrid of the two.... the jillian comes in a crop version shown below and a classic length and in a yummy blend of cotton and cashmere.
i wanted to something to throw on with my cut offs that's warm but not too bulky. when you're as fair as me you tend to have a bit of a sunburn so this slightly cap sleeve is perfect.
the side tie closure looks great over a bikini or one piece and gives a relaxed vibe.
a hoodie to cover up wet beach hair disasters is a plus. i'm thinking this is going to be on constant rotation for beach vacations. if you're lucky enough to live at the beach then here's your everyday sweater.
we love the jillian. layer a few beaded necklaces and you're ready.
