summer love party ready..........
summer party style is hard for me. why? because i burn so easily that i need to be covered but then run the risk of having so many layers on that i don't look 'summery'. and, i'm so pale that a lot of colors make me look more casper than beachy. well, this kimono is a game changer.
underneath i paired the riley high waist wide leg pant and matching crop top. the shoulder slits in the back are really cute. i like tying the sash to the back as i have no bum so a lil extra fabric in the back is good. added one of my fave straw hats in a beautiful muted lavender. and, krewe sunglasses (check em out in the aspen boutique). the kimono is a beautiful silk with floral print and in lavender, white and butterscotch. just beautiful.
i'm in love with these hoop earrings....perhaps the girl with the pearl earring adds to the love but they are asymmetrical with a pearl drop (shown) in the center and the other side it's attached to the bottom of the hoop. love.
and, the venetia lavender suede mule is a great summer shoe. i think these are great with crop denim. are you noticing the hem of this kimono...beautiful.
light weight layers that will protect me from the sun.
oh this kimono! over jeans, a slip dress, cut offs....the list can go on and on.
