Casual Weekend Style With A Sweater

We all love a sweater for the weekend. But, yes, the combo can be basic. And, now that I'm 54 I spend a bit more time thinking about what I wear. I like to look modern, a bit edgy and pick pieces that reflect my personality. I don't want to look young or trendy.

So, I chose my favorite oversized pullover cashmere sweater, Betty for this weekend look. The Betty is cozy, comfy and cool. Yes, many, too many of you, are wearing leggings around the clock. But, there are so many great denim choices that are just as comfortable as your favorite pair of leggings. 

When styling a casual weekend look I like to make it work for a day or night. Because the Betty sweater is oversized, I chose the Easy Trouser for it's slim fit. I love this jean because, not only does the cropped leg allow me to show off my footwear but, it's a slim jean that isn't tight.

With a casual look I love playing up my accessories. These floral printed patent leather boots are the perfect for elevating the look. A cashmere beanie from Private_0204 in army green picks up the colors from the boots. And, a pair of rectangular shape shades to top off the look. 

Weekend excursions can easily go from day to night so I grabbed one of my favorite fall jackets. A wool chevron bomber jacket from Forte Forte. I love the oversized fit and nude color as it goes with everything.
