khaki shorts & top summer outfit...........
yes, khaki pleated shorts can give flashbacks of looks we wish we never wore. however, the isabel shorts from closed denim are perfection. what makes them nothing like what you remember is the fit & how i styled them.
first, playing with tones is better than going for an exact match. why? it's more interesting and reads more cool than conservative. and, these shorts are meant to be relaxed. just because you can size down doesn't mean you should. a fitted pleat short will not be cute and it will look dated. the oversized cotton voile blouse with drop shoulder and yoke with minimal shirring is cool and effortless. we went with the freda salvador elba suede loafer in blush suede. as, for a pop of color go with the lil carla leather tote. she's structured and classic but the lavender is anything but. there is also a detachable shoulder strap too.
